This article analyzes the theoretical and practical foundations of creating new-generation textbooks and examines international experiences in their development. Particular attention is paid to the didactic requirements of modern textbooks, the use of digital technologies, interactive teaching methods, and the 4C competence model. The process of developing electronic textbooks and open educational resources widely used in global education systems is also discussed. The research demonstrates that new-generation textbooks contribute to the development of students’ critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration skills.
