This article examines the legal procedure for allocating land plots for public-private partnership projects in Uzbekistan, with a particular focus on energy and renewable energy projects. It analyzes the main stages of land preparation, including the return of land to the state land fund, the reclassification of land categories, the preparation of cadastral documentation, state registration, and the subsequent lease of the plot to the private partner. The article shows that when land preparation is postponed to later stages, administrative uncertainty increases, project timelines are affected, and overall project bankability is reduced. It therefore argues for the pre-tender confirmation of the feasibility of land reclassification.
