This article explores the features of the linguistic-cultural approach in working with media texts in foreign language teaching. It emphasizes the importance of integrating linguistic and cultural components to develop students’ communicative competence and intercultural literacy. Various types of media, including audio, video, print, and digital resources, are analyzed as effective tools for deepening language acquisition and understanding cultural contexts. The study demonstrates that systematic engagement with media texts enhances students’ skills in analysis, interpretation, and critical thinking, while fostering adaptability in multilingual and multicultural environments. Recommendations for methodological use of media in the classroom, along with examples of successful pedagogical practices, are provided to guide educators in applying this approach effectively.
