The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the modernization process and reform strategy of the People’s Republic of China, focusing on their role and impact within the system of international relations. The distinctive features of the Chinese modernization model—such as the socialist market economy, the regulatory and strategic guiding role of the state, institutional reforms, and the mechanism of gradual transformation—are examined as analytical tools for strengthening the country’s external economic and political positions. Furthermore, the study analyzes the significance of stimulating economic growth, industrial and innovative development, technological modernization, and the formation of the digital economy in enhancing China’s integration into the global economic system and increasing its international competitiveness. The article also assesses the impact of China’s reform strategy on regional and global geopolitical balances, as well as its methodological relevance as an alternative development path for developing countries. The conclusions contribute to a comparative analysis of China’s modernization experience within the framework of international relations theories and to the identification of its universal and national-specific characteristics.
