This article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations for preparing future speech therapists to use a system of sensorimotor exercises. The role of sensorimotor development in speech formation and the relationship between sensorimotor activity and speech disorders are analyzed from a scientific perspective. Special attention is given to the pedagogical significance of applying sensorimotor exercises in developing the professional competencies of future speech therapists. The findings contribute to improving the effectiveness of speech therapy education and intervention.
