This article presents a comparative analysis of sports terminology in English and Uzbek languages, with a particular focus on terms used in the Summer Olympic Games. The study examines the semantic structure, morphological features, translation challenges, and cultural connotations of core terms. The research identifies linguistic differences and similarities in terminology use and evaluates the degree of terminological equivalence in bilingual sports discourse. The article proposes theoretical and practical recommendations for improving clarity and standardization in the field of sports translation.
