This paper examines the phenomenon of corruption as one of the most acute and destructive problems in modern society. Corruption undermines citizens' trust in state institutions, impedes social and economic development, and violates the principles of legality and justice. Special attention is given to the causes of corruption's spread, its negative consequences for the state and society, as well as potential measures for its prevention and eradication. Both internal and external factors contributing to corrupt practices are analyzed, emphasizing the necessity of a systematic approach and the development of an anti-corruption culture.
