Annotatsiya

The article examines criminal liability for offenses committed using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation. It analyzes modern forms of AI-based criminal activity such as automated phishing attacks, creation of deepfake content, and cyber fraud. Comparative analysis reveals that both countries do not yet recognize AI as an independent subject of crime, viewing it as a technological tool. At the same time, the study emphasizes the need to modernize criminal legislation and redefine concepts of guilt and causation in AI-related crimes. The author proposes recommendations for improving national legal frameworks and strengthening international cooperation in the field of cybersecurity.
