This article is dedicated to the analysis of the legislative framework on education in Uzbekistan. It describes the goals and objectives of the modern legislation on education, as well as the current state of the legal framework in the Republic of Uzbekistan based on the historical background of the development of legislation on education in independent Uzbekistan. The article concludes that the legislation on education is a significant component of socio-economic legislation, encompassing a set of legal regulations that define the directions of government policy in the field of education and guarantee the right to education for all citizens. Through research, it has been established that the current legislation on education can be categorized into six key areas: establishing the general principles of the educational system; regulating the types and formats of education; defining the status of individuals involved in the educational process; organizing the educational process.; On issues related to the organization (reorganization), liquidation, and status change of educational institutions, as well as improvement activities within these institutions. We also discuss organizational and financial matters.
