This article examines the legal nature, institutional framework, principal methods, and practical outcomes of anti-corruption assessments of regulatory legal acts and their drafts in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Drawing on the provisions of Law No. LRU-860 of August 8, 2023, Presidential Resolution No. PR-5263, methodological documents issued by justice authorities, and the latest official data, the article identifies and analyzes typical manifestations of corruption-generating factors. Legal examples from the fields of construction, higher education, public procurement, licensing, and administrative services are examined. The study presents a comparative legal analysis of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, recommendations of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the experience of the Republic of Korea, and relevant provisions of ISO standards that may be applicable in Uzbekistan. Finally, the article proposes measures to improve the quality, transparency, independence, and effectiveness of anti-corruption assessments.
