The lecture is devoted to the analysis of problems associated with the possibility of using different language resources to influence the consciousness and behavior of the addressee of communicative interaction. It is shown that the idea of unlimited freedom of language actualizes the problem of using obscene language and "free" handling of lexical and grammatical norms. The question of the so-called linguistic and speech hooliganism immediately arises. An even more important problem is associated with the so-called "hate speech", the nutrient medium of which is xenophobia. The lecture examines the reasons for using "hate speech", its types and forms. It is proposed to replace the vague concept of "hate speech" with the concept of “speech aggression”. Based on the idea of B. Spinoza, according to which freedom in relation to human behavior is a conscious necessity, another way of using language technologies, united by the concept of “political correctness”, is considered. The essence of this model of human communication, its theoretical prerequisites, positive and negative aspects of use are considered.
