The lecture is devoted to understanding and systematization of interpretations of the category "freedom" that developed in the 20th century. Existentialist and liberal approaches to understanding freedom are highlighted. An analysis of discursive and logical-hermeneutic approaches is undertaken. The connection between freedom and privileges and justice, studied within the framework of social philosophy, is shown.
