The article primarily analyzes instances of linguistic and stylistic norm violations in press language, particularly the issue of excessive use of clichés that reduce functional effectiveness, based on a scientific and theoretical approach. The research is conducted using newspaper and magazine texts, examining the typology of speech patterns, their stylistic, pragmatic, and semantic features, as well as methods to limit their use. As a result, specific recommendations are formulated to expand the expressive capabilities of press language and ensure its compliance with literary language norms.
