This scientific article provides a theoretical and practical analysis of the typology of television presenters and their professional on-screen activity in contemporary television. The activities of presenters within informational, analytical, entertainment, author-driven, and specialized knowledge-based television programs are examined according to various criteria, revealing the professional, speech-related, psychological, and communicative characteristics specific to each type. The article interprets the television presenter not merely as an information transmitter, but as an important communicative subject who establishes interaction with the audience and defines the content and semantic orientation of the program. Based on the practice of Uzbek television, the on-screen performance of different types of presenters is analyzed, and the correlation between the presenter’s type, screen image, and program ratings is scientifically substantiated. The presenter’s communicative competence, screen culture, and interactive relationship with the audience are considered key factors determining professional effectiveness. In addition, within the framework of mass communication theory, the mechanisms through which different presenter types influence public opinion are examined. The conclusions of the article are of practical significance for identifying television presenter typology, selecting presenters appropriate to specific program formats, and enhancing the overall effectiveness of television content.
