This article analyzes the issue of employer's material liability within the framework of labor law. Mechanisms for protecting employees' rights based on international experience were examined. The necessity of improving the existing approaches in national legislation was clarified. The effectiveness of legal mechanisms was assessed through comparative analysis with advanced foreign practices. Patterns of functioning of employee complaint reception systems were described. Opportunities for protecting employees’ interests using modern technological tools were reviewed. Based on statistical data, current issues were analyzed, and practical suggestions were developed.
