This article provides a comprehensive comparative-legal analysis of existing legal frameworks in European countries for protecting children from harmful information. The paper examines the legal and institutional mechanisms established in Germany under the “Jugendschutzgesetz” law, as well as the UK’s approaches embodied in the "Online Safety Bill" and the “Age Appropriate Design Code” ensuring children’s online safety. Furthermore, the experience of France is analyzed, highlighting relevant provisions in the Criminal Code (Code pénal) and the Education Code (Code de l’éducation) aimed at protecting minors from harmful content. Additionally, the article explores the common standards established by the European Union through the Audiovisual Media Services Directive (AVMSD). Based on this comparative analysis of international practices, specific recommendations are provided for improving the national legislation of Uzbekistan.
