In the context of digitalization and the increasing use of electronic evidence in criminal proceedings, this study focuses on analyzing the legal approaches of various countries to regulating digital data. Particular attention is paid to procedural requirements, ensuring the authenticity, admissibility, and integrity of electronic evidence. National and international mechanisms are examined, including the Federal Rules of Evidence in the United States, European Union directives, and national approaches of CIS countries. The research highlights key issues such as cross-border access, data protection, and standardization of approaches to digital evidence. Using a comparative legal method, the study identifies best practices and universal principles applicable to global electronic evidence regulation. The results provide valuable insights for improving national legal frameworks and international standards aimed at enhancing the efficiency of criminal justice in the digital age. The study also offers recommendations for unifying procedures and ensuring a balance between efficiency and the protection of human rights.
