In their studies on the historical geography of Fergana from the 9th to 13th centuries, scholars from various countries including Austria, Turkey, Russia, Azerbaijan, and France have proposed a range of ideas and observations. Although these contributions differ in scope and perspective, several offer particularly noteworthy insights related to the problem under investigation.
