The article examines contemporary political, criminal law, and criminological aspects of countering youth radicalization in the Republic of Uzbekistan. Particular attention is paid to an interdisciplinary scholarly analysis of the causes of destructive behavior, drawing on theoretical approaches developed by scholars from Uzbekistan, the CIS countries, and other foreign countries, including Terror Management Theory and concepts of cognitive structuring. Based on empirical data for 2023–2025 and Uzbekistan’s performance in the World Justice Project indices, the effectiveness of the current political course is critically assessed, gaps in law enforcement are identified, and measures are proposed for shifting from punitive practices toward targeted preventive state strategies.
