Annotatsiya

The article provides a theoretical and analytical examination of the pedagogical and psychological foundations of using gamification elements in the e-learning process. The aim of the study is to systematize contemporary scholarly sources describing the impact of gamification on learning motivation and to substantiate the pedagogical conditions for its application in a digital learning environment. The study is based on comparative and content analyses of systematic reviews and meta-analyses published in reputable international databases between 2011 and 2024. The analysis shows that the motivational effects of gamification can be explained by self-determination theory and flow theory; however, these effects depend on the quality of implementation, duration of use, and degree of alignment with learning objectives.
