The authors studied the epidemiology, etiology, pathogenetic course and classification of varicose veins of the legs based on the research of foreign scientists. The authors come to the conclusion that the analysis of the epidemiological situation on VBN, its causes and pathogenetic processes, as well as the classification of the disease proposed by world scientists, based on the study of the etiopathogenetic aspects of this disease, are the main basis for the diagnosis and treatment of patients with this disease.
