Temperature dependence of elastic constants and anisotropy of acoustic attenuation in pure and doped Y3Al5O12 crystals

Annotatsiya

The anisotropy of acoustic attenuation at a frequency of 30 MHz and the temperature dependenceof the effective elastic constants in pure and neodymium-doped yttrium aluminum garnetcrystals in the temperature range of 290−450 K have been studied. The real and imaginarycomponents of the elasticity tensor in these crystals were determined. Based on them, a sectionof the characteristic surface of the attenuation coefficient by the (001) plane was constructed.The special directions of propagation of acoustic waves in the (100) plane have been found.
