Influence of elastic deformation on the energies of formation and activation of ion movement in LaF3 crystals

Annotatsiya

Regularities of the effect of elastic deformation on the energies of formation and activation of ions motion in superionic LaF3 crystals have been studied. It is shown that in the dielectric phase, when the distance between the anion-cation planes in the crystal lattice changes by 1–2%, the conductivity of the ionic crystal in the zone of tension deformation can increase by        2 orders of magnitude. As a result, the superionic phase occurs in such a crystal at lower temperatures.
