Injuries and strictures (narrowing) of the female urethra are rare but clinically significant conditions that may be accompanied by impaired urodynamics, chronic inflammatory processes and secondary complications, including vaginal stone formation. Vaginal stones may form due to urine stagnation during urethral obstruction, fistula tracts or foreign body retention. The article discusses the main examples of 83 patients with urogenital fistulas and two rare clinical cases of vaginal stone formation. Causes, clinical manifestations, diagnostic methods (including ultrasound, cystoscopy and MRI) and treatment tactics for these pathologies. Particular attention is paid to surgical correction of urethral strictures, removal of vaginal stones and prevention of relapses.
