The article analyzes, from scientific-legal and organizational-pedagogical perspectives, the reforms implemented at the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan between 2016 and 2026 to improve the system of professional training for internal affairs personnel. The reforms are conventionally divided into three stages, with each stage examining trends in the development of educational content, admission and selection mechanisms, practice-oriented training, digitalization, personnel training in the field of combating cybercrime, and international cooperation. Based on new data for 2025–2026, the article assesses the Academy’s transition toward a modern educational ecosystem and develops scholarly proposals for further advancing competency-based and evidence-based personnel training that meets the requirements of the digital transformation of internal affairs bodies.
