This article analyzes the psychological structure of distance sense in fencers, which enables accurate distance estimation, and its leading role in the development of fight sense. The study employed questionnaires (preliminary and main) and an experimental procedure for subjective distance assessment using a specialized device. The results showed that distance sense is the highest-rated component within the structure of fight sense; when estimating distance, visual cues such as the opponent’s movement and armed hand play a leading role.
