This article analyzes the main problems that arise in the process of developing the psychological preparation of sports referees, the reasons for these issues, and the ways to eliminate them. It is emphasized that the speed of decision-making by referees in sports competitions, their emotional stability, stress resistance, and ability to maintain a neutral position directly affect the quality of the competition. A general conclusion on the topic is provided.
