This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the importance and possibilities of introducing distance learning in the system of advanced training of physical education teachers operating in secondary schools, as well as the scientific and theoretical foundations of this process. The pedagogical and technological advantages of distance learning, the role of digital technologies in its implementation, and mechanisms for increasing the effectiveness of teaching through them are discussed. The practical effectiveness of using courses, video lessons, and test assessment systems on distance learning platforms in advanced training of physical education teachers in secondary schools is also highlighted.
