Annotatsiya

The article presents a theoretical analysis of the development of spatiotemporal motor abilities and sport-specific perceptions in athletes engaged in complex coordination sports. The purpose of the study was to analyze the characteristics of spatial and temporal perception in complex coordination activities, summarize the mechanisms underlying specialized perceptions such as the “sense of distance,” and identify the main directions for their development in the training process. The study employed methods of scientific literature analysis, comparison, generalization, and logical analysis. The theoretical evidence indicates that accurate perception of distance, time, movement speed, and direction is an important prerequisite for effective complex coordination activity. Using fencing and boxing as examples, the “sense of distance” is characterized as a complex sport-specific perception formed through the interaction of visual, kinesthetic, and motor information, accumulated motor experience, and technical-tactical preparation. The analysis supports the use of exercises performed at varying distances, maneuvering tasks, actions under changing situational conditions, as well as systematic feedback and self-monitoring for the development of spatiotemporal abilities.
