The study aims to systematize theoretical and applied urban-planning approaches to the development of sports infrastructure in Uzbek cities in accordance with sustainable development principles. The methodological framework combines systems analysis, functional-territorial analysis, comparative analysis, and a review of scholarly literature, current legal and urban-planning documents, and selected international practices. The study examines the functional relationships between sports infrastructure and public transport, pedestrian and cycling networks, green areas, public spaces, and the mahalla environment. The isolated-facility model is compared with a cluster-based model, and criteria for transport, environmental, social, and functional integration are formulated. A three-level system—city, district, and mahalla—and an integrated model for sustainable sports-infrastructure development are proposed. The findings indicate that the urban-planning effectiveness of sports facilities depends not only on their number and technical characteristics, but also on spatial accessibility, multifunctionality, and integration into everyday urban life.
