Enhancing the international reputation of higher education institutions in Uzbekistan is one of the key and urgent tasks of the country’s education system. An important indicator in this regard is the number of international students choosing to study at Uzbek universities, which reflects the competitiveness of national educational programs in the global market. To expand international cooperation and strengthen its position, Tashkent State Medical University (TSMU) has introduced a range of educational programs taught in English. These programs cover fields such as pediatrics, nursing, general medicine, and other medical specialties, which helps attract students from various countries and improves the quality of education. This study is dedicated to analyzing the process of teaching professional English to international students at TSMU. The main focus is on identifying the difficulties faced by language instructors when working with a multilingual audience and determining their professional needs. A survey consisting of five questions was conducted, and the results were thoroughly analyzed. Based on this analysis, practical recommendations aimed at improving the effectiveness of the educational process were developed, which in turn contributes to further strengthening the university’s international reputation.
