This article analyzes the phenomenon of interference (negative) and transposition (positive) that occurs as a result of differences between the Uzbek and English languages in the process of learning English as a foreign language. Methodical recommendations on foreign language teaching based on CBI/STEM technologies are presented to prevent difficulties that form the types of cognitive, linguistic and social interference in the process of developing students' English language competences.
