Color designations play a key role in the linguistic picture of the world, reflecting not only the physical properties of objects, but also deep cultural, emotional and symbolic meanings. This article is devoted to the comparative analysis of the systems of chromatonyms in the French, Russian and Uzbek languages. Particular attention is paid to the symbolism of basic colors and their cultural interpretation in each of the three language systems. The study reveals similarities and differences in the perception and use of color designations, due to the historical, cultural, religious and mental characteristics of peoples. In addition, the article examines stable expressions, metaphors and phraseological units containing chromatonyms, which allows for a deeper understanding of their semantic load. The article provides specific examples from language practice illustrating the symbolic meaning of color in various contexts. The work can be useful for linguists, translators, teachers, as well as anyone interested in cross-cultural semantics, language concepts and intercultural communication.
