This article examines the theoretical foundations of the concepts of text and discourse and analyzes their relationship from the perspective of modern linguistics. It discusses the structural features of text and the pragmatic and communicative nature of discourse. Using examples from Uzbek, the article highlights the similarities and differences between text and discourse. The findings may contribute to further research in text linguistics and discourse analysis.
