Annotatsiya

This article is devoted to the study of Agatha Christie’s individual stylistic features and the translation challenges of her famous novel And Then There Were None (originally published as Ten Little Niggers). The article provides a comparative and stylistic analysis of the novel’s translations from English into Russian and from Russian into Uzbek. The main purpose of the article is to identify the lexical, phraseological, semantic, and stylistic problems that arise in the translation process. The study employs comparative-analytical, linguistic, linguocultural, cognitive, and hermeneutic methods of analysis. The research examines the extent to which the author’s individual style, literary devices, metaphors, and phraseological units are preserved in translation. Furthermore, the article analyzes changes in the artistic and aesthetic impact of the work resulting from inaccurate or incomplete rendering of certain words and expressions in the process of translating the novel from Russian into Uzbek.
