The article presents a comparative analysis of the artistic interpretation of tragic consciousness in contemporary Russian and Uzbek women’s prose. Drawing on the works of Lyudmila Petrushevskaya and Salomat Vafo, it explores the inner world of women, spiritual loneliness, emotional alienation, and the conflict between personal aspirations and social expectations. The study identifies both national and universal features of tragic consciousness and reveals its significance in contemporary women’s literature.
