Annotatsiya

This article analyzes the religious policy of the Soviet government in Turkestan during the period of the New Economic Policy (1921–1924), its relations with the Muslim population, and its conciliatory as well as ideological approaches toward religion. It also examines the Soviet authorities’ attitude toward religious organizations and clergy, as well as the formation and development of anti-religious propaganda policies.
