This article examines the role of the Byzantine Empire in cultural relations between Europe and Asia and highlights its significance as a civilizational center that harmonized the traditions of the East and the West. It also considers the influence of Byzantine culture on the peoples of Europe and the Near East through architecture, art, religion, and education. The article analyzes the manifestation of Byzantine cultural heritage in the Balkans, Kievan Rus, the Caucasus, and Italy. In addition, it explores the place of Byzantine culture in the cultural development of the Middle Ages and its influence on the civilizations of later periods.
