This article presents the state of collective farms of the Uzbek SSR and changes in them. The adaptation of Soviet agrarian policy to local conditions, the impact of the centralized planning system on the activities of collective farms, the development of the material and technical base, and the mechanisms for using labor resources are covered. The economic efficiency of collective farms, the policy of specialization in cotton growing, changes in the living standards of the rural population, and the processes of formation of social infrastructure are also analyzed on a scientific basis.
