The article examines the role and significance of women journalists in social life and socio-political processes. Based on global and national experience, it analyzes the participation of women working in the media in shaping public opinion, developing civil society, promoting democratic reforms, and ensuring gender equality. Particular attention is paid to the challenges and social barriers faced by women journalists in their professional activities, as well as to the opportunities provided by the contemporary media environment. From a scientific and theoretical perspective, the social responsibility of women journalists and their contribution to societal development are evaluated.
