This article examines the Battle of Jam of 1528, focusing on the participation of the Shaybanid sultans - particularly Keldi Muhammad Sultan and Baroq Khan - as well as the causes and consequences of the conflict. It analyzes the political situation in Mawarannahr and neighboring regions, the confrontation between the Shaybanids and the Safavids, and the religious and military dimensions of the war. Special attention is given to the historical importance of the Battle of Jam, the strategic military errors committed during the battle, the factors that led to the loss of an apparent victory, and its impact on the region’s political stability in subsequent years.
