Annotatsiya

The article analyzes the structural changes and economic consequences that occurred in the food and specifically oil and fat industries, as well as the agricultural sectors of the Uzbek SSR during the Second World War. Based on archival and statistical data, the author demonstrates that the reduction of cotton cultivation areas to expand food crops under wartime demands failed to yield the anticipated positive results. Instead, this policy triggered a profound crisis within the oil and fat industry due to the substantial decline in the cotton seed raw material base.
