This article presents a pragmatic and discourse-oriented comparative study of artificial intelligence discourse terminology in English and Uzbek. The research focuses on the functional characteristics of artificial intelligence terms across scientific, educational, and mass media discourse, identifying similarities and differences in their pragmatic usage in the two languages. The study is based on a corpus of artificial intelligence terms extracted from academic publications, educational materials, and digital media sources in English and Uzbek. Comparative discourse analysis, pragmatic analysis, and contextual interpretation methods are employed. The findings indicate that artificial intelligence terminology in English demonstrates a high level of standardization and pragmatic stability, whereas Uzbek terminology shows variability and strong dependence on contextual factors. The article emphasizes the importance of adopting a pragmatic and discourse-based approach to the development and standardization of artificial intelligence terminology in Uzbek.
