Annotatsiya

This article examines the cognitive foundations and semantic structure of emotional-expressive vocabulary in English and Uzbek from a comparative perspective. The study focuses on the mechanisms of emotional meaning construction, processes of conceptualization, and the expression of evaluative semantics in both languages. Particular attention is paid to the denotative and connotative layers of emotional-expressive units, as well as their metaphorical and metonymic extensions. Through comparative analysis, the research identifies both universal cognitive models and culture-specific features reflected in the lexical systems of the two languages. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the linguo-cognitive nature of emotional semantics and provide insights for translation studies and pragmatic interpretation.
