This article examines the gender specificity of love talk in the context of modern linguistics and discourse studies. It analyzes the speech acts of men and women in love talk and identifies pragmatic, cognitive, and sociocultural factors in the formation of gender-marked utterances. The theoretical foundations of this study are drawn from works in gender linguistics, discourse analysis, and cognitive linguistics.
