This article provides an in-depth pragmatic and linguocultural analysis of the representation of social roles in English and Uzbek proverbs. The study draws on social role theories (E. Goffman, T. Parsons), major pragmatic approaches, and linguocultural principles as its theoretical framework. Through a comparative analysis of English and Uzbek proverbs, social roles related to family, labor, gender, power, and social status are examined. The findings highlight the role of proverbs as effective communicative tools that reinforce social norms and cultural values.
