Annotatsiya

The article is devoted to a comparative analysis of the linguistic features of gender communication in Italian and Uzbek literature of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It examines the mechanisms of expressing gender differences at the morphological, lexico-semantic, and pragmatic levels. Particular attention is paid to the communicative function of grammatical gender in Italian and its sociocultural analogues in Uzbek. Based on the works of Giovanni Verga, Matilde Serao, Abdulla Qodiriy, and Chulpon, it is shown that language reflects not only grammatical structure but also the value orientations of society that shape the gender identity of characters.
