This article examines the relationship between metaphors, human thinking, and cultural values in Uzbek and English within the framework of the anthropocentric approach. Metaphor is analyzed not only as a stylistic device but also as a linguistic reflection of human worldview, national mentality, and cultural experience. Through a comparative analysis, the study identifies both shared and language-specific conceptual metaphors and highlights the decisive role of the human factor in their formation. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of the interaction between language and cognition and offer valuable insights for the development of linguocultural and cognitive linguistic studies.
