This article presents a theoretical corpus-based study of collocations as an important phenomenon in lexical semantics and phraseology. The research focuses on the role of corpora in identifying, classifying, and analyzing collocational patterns in language. The study discusses the concept of collocation, its linguistic characteristics, and its significance for lexicology, language teaching, translation, and lexicography. The article follows the IMRAD structure and emphasizes the advantages of corpus linguistics in providing empirical and systematic data for collocational analysis.
