The increasing adoption of computer-delivered language examinations has highlighted the need for learners to develop both language proficiency and digital literacy. This study explores the integration of HTML-based reading and vocabulary tasks into the instruction of 6th and 7th grade EFL pupils at a specialized school in Uzbekistan. Tasks were completed on classroom monitors and occasionally in the school’s computer rooms, providing students with interactive, computer-mediated learning experiences. Observations indicate that students were highly motivated and quickly adapted to the digital format, although logistical constraints and classroom management challenges, such as peer interference and time management, were noted. The implementation demonstrates that even with limited technological resources, accessible HTML-based tasks can effectively combine language learning with digital skill development, preparing learners for future computer-delivered assessments. Implications for teaching practice and suggestions for further research are discussed.
